Algaida: Oliver Moragues Grandhouse and Vineyard (Airbnb), Day 2 of 2

Bike Route: Algaida Day Loop, 40 miles, 1800 feet of climb

Coffee in Sineu, croissants and cheesecake in Costitx, goat cheese and walnut salad and spaghetti Carbonera in Santa Maria del Cami. We ate our way around the countryside, pedaling on small highways and country lanes past vineyards, orchards, farms, and villages. And we finished up back at our so-comfortable retreat in the country. Life could be better, but I'm not sure how đŸ˜‰.

Esglesia de Santa Maria in Placa Sant Marco, Sineu. We had coffee in the main square behind the church.

Sant Marc was chosen to be the patron saint of Sineu in 1645. Artist Joan Maimo Vadell made this sculpture of a lion with wings holding the town crest in 1945, to honor the anniversary of that choice.

The architecture on Mallorca is simple and austere, usually two or three stories, stone, often skim coated with concrete. We don't see many balconies, railings, shutters, trees, or flowers in the towns themselves.

The wine facility at Oliver Moragues. Ken talked with one of the owners while he washed out barrels, preparing them for the transfer of this year's wine from the vats.
