Colonia de Sant Jordi: Beautiful Apartment 1 with Terrace and Sea View (Airbnb), Day 1 of 3

Bike Route: Campos Agroturisme to Colonia de Sant Jordi, 12 miles, 400 feet of climb

An easy ride, mostly downhill, about half on a small highway with a wide shoulder, and half on country lanes. We had planned to stop in Randa to see a castle and have breakfast, but we missed the turnoff and ended up at a bakery in Ses Salines instead.

Before we knew it, we were at the end of the road on the beach in Colonia de Sant Jordi, outside the door to our apartment. We messaged the rental agent that we had arrived, and sat in the sun until he came with the keys (plus his adorable 4-year-old daughter and 2-year-old niece) an hour later.

After showering and starting a load of laundry, we walked 10 minutes to the port and sandy beach at the center of town, and enjoyed a lunch of ceviche, softshell crab, shrimp, and seafood tacos. Thunder rumbles chased us back to the apartment for an evening of route mapping, reading, calling my mother, and watching the sun set over Algeria (or at least the horizon of the sea in that direction).

Our apartment is on a coastal walkway near the western edge of Colonia de Sant Jordi.

It didn't take Ken long to find a comfortable spot in the living room. The door to our terrace looks straight south toward Algeria.
