Here we go again. On 16 July 2025, Ken and I and the bikes head for Rome. The plan is to meet up with our daughter, Meghan, in Spoleto on 20 July, and spend a couple of weeks with her in Assisi and Ancona. Then she will head home, and Ken and I will go on to explore Umbria, Marche, San Marino, Emilia-Romagna, Venice, Trentino - Alto Adige - Sud Tirol, and the lakes--before flying home on 1 October. Our wild 8-month-old Jack Russell, Rosie, is booked at the kennel. The bikes are in their boxes and our gear is in the panniers. We have new, short haircuts. We've hired someone to cut the grass and watch the house. We've rebooked accommodations and transfers that cancelled in just the last week; we are guessing that the Jubilee and summer crowds are creating a few bumps in bookings right now. We are working on being calm and flexible and trusting that, as always, we will figure everything out as we go along.
