Back to rolling hills, steep hills, sheep and cattle farms, little stone hamlets and villages. Even with a good number of miles, we had a relaxing day on the bikes. Luckily, we had crackers, cheese, and fruit with us; we didn’t find anyplace to buy food along the way.
When we arrived at the inn, one host took our bikes and locked them in the garage, and the other led us to our very nice room. After showers and a cup of tea, we put our feet up and rested until dinner time.

| We had small country roads, very little traffic, expansive views, all day long. |

| It was hard to find a spot for our roadside picnic lunch; most of the fields were fenced off with no public access. We finally located a church with a bench and a shaded entry, on a public footpath. A couple wearing day packs took the bench, we took the entryway. It was good to get out of the sun and just sit for a little while. |
