France: Saint-Felicien, Day 2

Walk: from our cottage to Saint-Felicien and back, 2 miles

Accommodation: Stone Cottage (Airbnb)

It felt so good to sleep late and just lie horizontal with our legs stretched out. We made our way through multiple pots of coffee, did a load of laundry, ate a couple of breakfasts. Around noon, we were getting a little bored and restless. It was such a nice day out. We decided to walk down to town and see the sights, and find out if there was a store open where we could get sparkling water and juice.

Our host had provided descriptions of several walks around the area, including a pathway to town. We did our best to translate it from French to English, and then follow it--and we did find our way to town. The convenience store was open, and there was even a bakery open, and a restaurant would open in half an hour. How fun. We could eat lunch in town.

While waiting for the restaurant to open, we wandered around town. At the church, we met a couple from Holland on bikes, and had a nice conversation about places to bike in France. We all ended up at the restaurant.

Back at the cottage, we got more rest, ate more food, and watched the CBS evening news (which we get a day late, but it's nice to keep up with events back home).
