Take-off
Today was the start of our big trip with 12-year-old grandson, Konur, and daughter, Meghan. We have been planning it and looking forward to it for three years. We are so glad COVID has eased enough that we can travel with not too many worries this summer.
On June 26, Meghan flew to Madrid for a two-week exploration of southern Spain and Mallorca. On July 9, she transferred to Paris and settled into a hotel for one night.
On July 10, at 11:00, Ken and I loaded our bikes and bags into the Northfield Lines van for a ride to the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport. At 12:30, Konur and his family met us. By 13:30, Ken, Konur, and I were checked in and at our gate waiting. We were able to get three seats together, and our flight left on time at 16:40. We were on our way!
