Girona, Day 3
On this day, we walked the wall, or what is left of it. Old Town of Girona was originally built by the Romans, and immense walls were constructed around it for protection in the 9th-14th centuries. Several large portions of the wall, about 1.9 miles altogether, have been restored so that you can walk around about half of Old Town.

The green tiles and intricate designs on this pair of houses suggests they might be by Maso, or influenced by Maso, but I could not find any documentation on that. |

The Eifel Bridge over the Onyar River in Girona. Yes, by the same Eifel that designed the Eifel Tower in Paris. |

Delete the s and you have Northfield. |

The Girona Cathedral was apparently featured on The Game of Thrones. We don't get HBO and haven't watched the series, but we were told that quite a few scenes were filmed in Girona. |

I loved the tilework on this building at the end of the Gomez Bridge over the Onyar River. I could not determine whether this is a Maso house. |
